Great place for mimosas on Sunday. Bottomless the correct way. I love it when you're served champagne with orange juice on the side. Specials on most days of the week, excluding Friday and Saturday. Live music on various days of the week as well. Great place to come pretty much any time of the day.

We started out Saturday night out with this place, with the offer that they have on yelp first drink or food iten 50% off ,you can't refuse that. We arrived there around 7pm. The location was easy to find and there were plenty of parking. At first we arrive , we were immediately welcomed by the bartender. The atmosphere was really relax and the place it self has lots of stuff to offer for instance ping pong table , pool table , games,... Everything are free of charge as long as you ordered something from them. The service was great and fast and they have great cocktail and beer choices for the average price. We had 2 cocktail and you can definitely feel the alcohol and tasted great! Definitely worth the visit , my husband and I enjoyed our drinks and quality time ther, we'll be back !

I loved the vibe in this place when it was the Detroit bar so I was skeptical to try it after it changed. Since it looks completely different and no longer even reminds me of Detroit bar, I won't compare it and just admit that I also like Wayfarer. I especially like it for the food/lounging atmosphere. Went here with a large group on Taco Tuesday and it was so easy and perfect. They have a large high top table right near the bar and offer awesome weekly deals. Taco Tuesday deal includes $2 tacos (ground beef, pork, chicken, carne asada and shrimp). Thought they would be the tiny street tacos so I ordered three, would have been satisfied with two. 1. Ground Beef - the best of all three, actually wish I just got two of these. 2. Carne Asada - it was tasty, just not as good as the ground beef. 3. Shrimp - like all the ingredients in this taco but I didn't love the actual shrimp - small and slimy 50% off first drink check-in offer. Happy Hour - 50% off apps

Highlights + Simple layout (bar, long table, small tables and open space) + Dance Space + 2 Pool Tables +- Event Covers - Group Hangout I unknowingly came here to check the bar scene around the area and had to make the difficult decision of paying $12 cover just to check the place out, drink my whiskey and leave. So before anyone checks it out, I'd recommend checking what venue is playing. The well whiskey was $8 which was moderate IMO. It seemed like people brought friends or SOs and not a lot straggling strangers to strike a conversation with. Overall the feel was good as everyone was vibing the venue and would definitely return after checking venue dates.

The Wayfarer This was formerly Detroit bar which was really dark and run down. Wayfarer came in and remodeled the place and it really nice. Completely different and they have a check in special which is always cool. My friends and I order some chicken wings, they were pretty good for the price. They have my favorite beer which is PBR tall cans. Overall this place was really clean. The staff were very friendly and happy. I would come back to this place again. :)

I love live music. I have and will go to live performances that range from classical music, to country and rock. When it's live, I love how I can feel the music. It's like I can physically feel the audience's and performer's energy. Anyway, it's why I ended up at the Wayfarer one night. Country meets Rock performance by Daniel Bonte & The Bona Fide, with special guests, Ry Bradley and Katelyn Marie. The music. From the outside, this venue doesn't look very big at all. But once inside, it's open with an area for performances, a bar, tables as well as some pool tables. I'd still say for performance though - that it's still on the intimate side. Service was surprisingly great. I was sitting in the reserved seating which meant the servers had to make their way across tables, what could be considered the dance floor over to the tables lining the wall in front of the stage. And never once was i waiting for refills (lemonade - if you're following me, you know I gave up alcohol for Lent). Plenty of parking. At least there was for me as I arrived for the opening acts before Daniel hit the stage. I met a few people who decided to share some food with me, as I let them share my table. I had what I think was chicken tenders and fries - nothing to rave about - but next time I come, if I do eat here, I'll follow up with a separate review.

Great venue for all genres of music, great staff and the Fridays are on point ;) Free pool, ping pong, giant jenga, and more during happy hour, yes please! The burgers and draft selection are the icing on the cake.

Great venue- has it all! Talented bands (ranging from large international/national acts) to local performers & great sound. Great beer/bar/menu selection, weekly specials, daily happy hours. Taco Tuesday is favorite ($2 tacos!) I always bring ear plugs to restaurants with live music, if your noise sensitive then def pack a pair. When bands are not playing venue has ping pong, also has pool tables. Sunday brunch is always hopping.

The Wayfarer has to be one of the most unique and fun places I've been to in a while. They have something going on each night, with a wide range of live bands and karaoke on Saturdays, I believe. First off, the service was great. Everyone, especially Jason, was so attentive and made sure we had food and drinks at all times. I had the mac and cheezy, topping them with jalapeños was recommended to me, so I went for it. One of the best decisions I made that night. I also had their beef tacos with salsa and chips that hit the spot. The bar is pretty big; one area has pool tables, then the bar with additional tables around it followed by a stage and open space for an audience. I was there on a Tuesday and was lucky enough to see a reggae show with the guys from Steel Pulse. We ate, we drank, we danced and had an overall fun time. It's a great spot if you want to change it up and enjoy some live music along with food and drinks. I'm looking forward to catching another show sometime soon.

Love the check-in deal! and they accepted it all night long. My friends and I came here for Halloween night and perhaps it was the company, but we had a lovely time. Bartenders were responsive and friendly even though they were incredibly swamped. Staff overall was really accommodating and sweet; no hipster sassiness happenin over here. Too bad the kitchen closed before 10 pm--wish they had a late-night menu... It's in a weird plaza, next to a family-friendly Mexican restaurant and a worn-down donut shop, but don't let that stop you!

Love the Wayfarer..Jeff did such a great job with transforming this place into what it is. Love coming here during the week for their happy hour to shoot some pool and have a couple of drinks and grub down.

The Wayfairer is a hoppin' hipster hangout. You're guaranteed to spot guys who just discovered undecuts and facial hair and girls with Ray Ban glasses en masse. Most people will have iPhones, because those are underground, and you'll see a shitton of people taking shaky video of Indie bands and/or underground electronic DJ's and posting them to their snapchat stories... "please god, let this trend!" They have great music, cool beers and nice folks working there. It's definitely worth bookmarking their website so you can see what's the happs in the OC Weekend Scene as 5 O'Clock makes it's way over on a Friday afternoon in your cubicle. Shit. That's so corporate America of me to say, so not hipster. I'm a sell out to the man. VIVA PBR!

So, I honestly would have given this place 4 stars. Good food - I had the mac and cheese and the cob salad. Mac and cheese was amazing. Food is reasonably priced. Finding a place to eat it...that's another story. I was here this past Saturday. The band was amazing. Even the opening bands. The acoustics were good. There was a good amount of room to move. Loved it. It's hard to find good live music in SoCal. However, there was a promotion going on for PBR. I waited at the bar around 8:20 (that's what time the tab was started anyway) and got mildly impatient, but finally got a bartender to come over. I would have been fine, except there were about 3-4 bartenders (maybe one was a bar back) and they weren't serving other customers. However, once I got someone's attention they came right over. All of them were very nice and friendly too. My understanding from speaking to the PBR folks at the door was that there was promotional pricing from 8-9 PM on tall boys and certain Jameson specials. From 8-9 the tall boys were 1$. SWEET! I ordered two. Fast forward to 3 hours later. I get my nearly $100 tab and pay it because it's so busy and I can see the bar is really slammed. I reviewed the tab and noticed that out of the 3 PBR tall boys I ordered, not one of them cost $1. I saw the sign that was up at the bar when i walked in too, so I know the special existed and if it was over when I ordered, then it shouldn't have been prominently displayed for customers to see. So basically, I was overcharged 12 bucks. I let it go and now I know not to start a tab here and to assure I verbally verify the special more than once and pay immediately once I receive my drinks.

Went to the Wayfarer to see a band play, my husband & I loved it. The bar is clean, well decorated and they have a drink menu with good specialty drinks. We ate a burger and it was yummy, tasted fresh and the tater tots were so good. The music was great! we had a blast!

Wayfarer gets it right for a Tuesday night! Total gem in the almost ghetto of Costa Mesa and amazing salvage from what used to be the heap called Detroit! Dug the vibe, new decor, kicking tunes & snacks being offered! Staff was attentive and chill to converse w and the diversity of the crowd was pretty interesting going from a local church group to Rastaville in a matter of a couple of hours! Will visit again to try what looked like delicious Brunch menu and for Happy Hour should the mood strike!

Cool place to grab a beer and relax. The music is pounding in this little place, so I don't recommend this place if you're trying to just have a mild conversation. The bartender made us a custom drink that my gf pulled up on her phone. This place is way better than Detroit bar, which it was formerly known as.

Tyler is the beat bartender around. If you come here you have to get the Kentucky orange blossom, it's heaven in a glass.

  • Danielle B.

Not to get too sentimental, but this place is really special! I loved it when it was DETROIT BAR because it was one of the few places with good live music, but now it is even better! Tuesday nights are REGGAE nights and they are my favorite - the musicians on stage are incredibly talented!! So Cal Reggae All Stars. Good tight reggae music - you can't beat it. Each band member is a members of other great reggae bands like STEEL PULSE! The Wayfarer's beer selection is awesome, their cocktail drinks are unique, and the appetizers are top notch. I hope they have more FUNK nights!

  • Anne T.

Tyler's awesomesauce!! We hail from Texas and found this awesome karaoke (who can refuse Journey's top hits) joint Sunday night! The boilermakers & cocktails are a must!!

  • Sean S.

I live within walking distance so I'm biased but THIS PLACE RULES! I must emphasize how great it is to have all of these quality bands, DJ's and other acts they have coming through, we have it GOOD on the Westside right now. I am very thankful that the Wayfarer is here!

Love the revamp! Was never a big fan of the old Detroit Bar, the music was good but that was all the ever brought me there. The Wayfarer is way better! Same great live music but better beer, drinks and now they serve food! -Came here on a Sunday and I believe they had Mimosa and Bloody Mary specials till like 4.

The Wayfarer is a mecca for hipsters in the OC area to congregate. We came by over the weekend to see Sweater Beats and it was literally trap city hipster central. The crowd is "all white people and Vietnamese gangsters from Westminster" as observed by my friend. Half true since I'm sure nobody there was actually a thug. Everyone was actually very, very hipster. I have never seen so many in this area ever... where are they all hiding during the day? I mean, one guy was wearing Birkenstocks (yes, they are comfortable, as I do own a pair, but come on). And buns -- so many hair buns! Tickets were bought in advance online, but the lady who stamped us in didn't even scan our tickets, so really, they could've just been a duplicate of a friend's ticket. Lame. We weren't the only ones peeved by this, as I heard several girls complaining about it in the restroom as well. I like that The Wayfarer has plenty of seating and free pool tables. The two pool tables are old and kind of broken, but you can't complain much when it's free. Seating includes a large communal table and many smaller tables all around. There's a large bar, a stage area with four bottle service tables lined against the wall, an adequately sized dancing area, and an outdoor patio smoking area as well. My only complaint is that even though The Wayfarer does serve food, the kitchen closes at 11 pm. Personally, I think that's a poor business decision because everyone wants to eat when they're drunk, and the bar would definitely make more money if patrons were allowed to order food. And trust me, I'd say 80% of the crowd was wasted. Why? The drinks are hella cheap. A combo shot of whiskey and a pint of beer cost $10. There were so many people ordering this, the bar ran out of glasses and resorted to using red and blue Solo beer pong cups. Amazing. Although The Wayfarer is way far from us, we had fun and would love to come back again for food, cheap drinks, awesome music, and a good time.

Aaaamazing place. The menu, decor, bartenders, tunes, and ambiance in general are great. Specials daily, and free pool Mon thru Thurs, I'm into it in a huge way. Cheers to the owners for bringing this place to the neighborhood.

The Wayferer is one of my favorite spots to go out. Great music, great food and plenty of parking is hard to beat! On top of that, they have reggae on tuesday nights (Get there before 9pm to avoid the $5 cover charge) The band's are incredible! They play everything from Bob Marley, to Gregory Isaccs, Steele Pulse, Peter Tosh, and Dennis Brown just to name a few. Me and my friends dance all night! The tacos are great and the bartenders super nice with great customer service! The atmosphere is very chill and relaxed so you can feel comfortable dressing in casual attire or whatever u want (although I always wear heels).

Bottomless mimosas for $10 on Sundays! I have to say I got my money's worth! Everyone there is super friendly and The Patty sandwich was delish. Acoustics were a little too loud for me for that time of day, and I was hard pressed to get some water, but we're in a drought and they kept the mimosas flowing, so we're cool. Loved the Yelp deal, by the way.

I've been here a few times and have yet to write a review so here goes! Was here on Sunday with a group of friends for brunch (which now starts at 12pm). We were a little disappointed the awkward stand up comedy got canceled indefinitely but pleasantly surprised with the ping pong table that replaced it! They also have free pool all day so it's a great hangout spot. I ordered the breakfast burrito which I must say is now my favorite brunch menu item. Bottomless mimosas are a measly $10 on top of their low priced food, what a steal! Our waitress, Danny was EXCELLENT. We never had to track her down. She got everything right and always knew exactly when to stop by and check on us. I needed a little assistance ordering a beer that I might like and she recommended something that I really loved and also gave me a free sample of another beer she thought I might enjoy. Very thoughtful of her! I should also mention that the other waitress there helping her out on Sunday afternoon was really helpful as well. I didn't catch her name but they had a great team dynamic going :) The new owner also owns The Alley and Tabu Shabu, which are also fantastic spots so I'm not surprised I like the new Wayfarer so much. Hopefully I can come back for Karaoke or a show sometime. I've heard great things.

Rude ass bouncer; chose not to go in after being hassled multiple times for standing around the entrance while they were figuring their shit out.

Pretty neat spot. Looks nice after the remodel too. I love live music so naturally I was attracted to this place. Can't Say much about the drinks (I'm usually just drinking vodka sodas) but cool vibes.

Jason and Kevin really are good hosts... This place has to be 5 stars... Be on the lookout for my review... The happy hour is 50% off food and wonderful craft beer.

  • Reggie K.

Food: Really good burgers: the westsider and the cowboy. Mmm the cowboy was wicked. The tater tots here take you back to your school days; perfectly crispy on the outside. Cocktails: loved the waypearer; refreshing drink. Sean is the best bartender!!! Only take his recommendations. Makes you feel like you're at a backyard hangout spot. Probably the most snazzy, but chill dive bar out here off of 19th street. Love the decor inside; lots of wood and steel.

  • Chris G.

Love this place! I live around the corner and couldn't ask for a better neighborhood bar. The Reasons: - The Whiskey Menu is bountiful - The live music is rockin (i love house nights) - The pool tables are free - The staff is friendly - The decor is warm n friendly Conclusion....check it

So bummed this place changed ownership. The place looks like Bar Rescue came in and did a damn makeover. Can't believe this is the same place I saw Smith Westerns, Catpower, Modest Mouse and The Ravonettes perform. The Wayfarer? Bye Felicia!

  • J.J. A.

Great beer, if you're on a specialty night. TERRIBLE service. Took me 30 minutes to get a beer on a Saturday night. Had to get my girlfriend to stand at the bar with her credit card in hand.. Albeit, it's the weekend, but get it together. Edit: maybe I was to harsh, the atmosphere is good. The acoustics are still horrible. But everyone is having fun.

Previously known as the Detroit bar, they did a wonderful job renovating the place . I was glad to see they were serving food now since I've only really been there for events ( Dnb shows etc...) . It was taco Tuesday and their special was 3 Jamaican jerk chicken tacos for 5$ so I ordered that along with their avocado fries for 7$. Both were ABSOLUTLEY amazing. I'm a foodie and sometimes want alittle something special when it comes to tacos and they did not dissapoint. They also have happy hour from 5-7( we had just missed the mark for that) but still 12$ for a delicious filling taco Tuesday meal? Can't beat it. Plus their vodka tonic was only 8$ and comes in a big mason jar. All in all a very very good experience and will now be coming here every Tuesday :)) Ps for any ladies who went there when it was Detroit... They redid the girls restroom as well and let me tell Ya. Such a difference

Great vibe , great beers . Try the burger with pork belly ! Can't wait to go back . Finally a great place to see live bands close to home Will definitely be a staple in the bar scene in Costa Mesa and newport . Completely redone !

  • Adam M.

Definitely an up from the previous Detroit, although being a Costa Mesa local I will miss the old heap. My wife and I have been here a few times, and every time we received attentive bar tenders, and a great atmosphere. two of the times we were there they had live music, which is always a plus with me. So for me this place has it all, food, mood, and it is only a couple blocks from my house.

  • Elaine H.

Great local spot to go to, whether you're looking for a chill night, or a great place to eat. My friends and I came here a few weeks ago for Sunday brunch, they were also having comedians perform. A lot of th reviews are about the drinks, and nightlife...I'm going to take s minute to review the food. -Avo fries: 4 stars for sure -Mac and cheese: indulgent, but probably one of the most amazing Mac and cheeses that I've had in a while, 5 stars - huevos rancheros : 5 stars, just the right amount of food after sharing apps with friends, eggs were cooked perfectly ! Oh, and then the bartender brought us all complimentary fireball shots !

I'm not exactly sure how to rate the place (yet) since I've been here once and it was for a show. Based off the website, they seem to offer a variety -food, drinks, pool, jenga, just overall good vibes. I liked that their drinks menu offered a variety from really strong cocktails, whiskey, beers, wine. They even have a nice 50% off your first drink for checking in!! Since I live down the street-ish, I'll be venturing in to try the different specials of the day and beers!

  • Tanya R.

This is a pretty cool place. I have been there a few times now and each time the service, food, and drinks have been great. The owner, Jeff, rocks and so does Kevin. This is definitely be a place that I would recommend, especially when there is live music.

    (5)
  • Tyler H.

Best music venue I've been to in Orange County! Great selection of whiskey and hot girls! They did a great job remodeling the place. It looks completely different from Detroit bar. Overall it's a great place to watch a show and meet some cool people. I highly recommend going here.

    (5)
  • Dennis I.

This place rocks! First time here, trying the fried Chicken sandwich! I have no doubt it'll be dynamite. Jeff, restauranteur who is owner of The Alley and Taboo Shabu, only does it one way- the right way! Tuesday is Reggae night- gonna be off the hook!

  • Shareen S.

Came here with my fiancé for taco Tuesday and it was absolutely amazing. Not only do they have such a wide variety available (asada, chicken, shrimp, chorizo etc.) but they're only $2! We both were more than impressed with the incredibly generous portions, not to mention everything tasted phenomenal. The staff is incredibly warm and friendly - an awesome touch to an already great experience. We're definitely making this our permanent taco Tuesday spot from now on.

  • Kevin M.

Excellent new music venue in Orange County! Jeff did a superb job with the remodel and the food is excellent. Happy hour everyday 5-7 every day and $10 boilermakers? Yes please! Bartender Stephanie is very nice and makes great cocktails. The live music is great, as it's becoming harder and harder to find live music in the area.

  • Amy B.

So I have been coming here A LOT. And the foot traffic level is now at "busy" status. Which is good! I like how the drinks are being served in Red Cups on busy nights. Gives you that homey vibe. Also I really liked one of the bands that I heard one Monday night, called Jay Sun? Or something like that. The guy had an amazing voice! So paying a cover here and there to hear some good music isn't so bad after all. Thanks Jeff for maintaining such a great place to hang out. See you soon!

    (5)
  • Curtis M.

I like the remodel but I'll get right to the meat and potatoes. The biggest problem for me is the amount of noise from the stage spilling into the pool area dining area.ITs impossible to have a conversation with just about any style of music due to the fact the sound guy likes to mix acoustic folk as loud as possible.PLaces like the observatory have a thick theater drape to separate the stage environment. It would be nice if they spent a little money to soften up and separate the sound from the area where people who aren't checking out the band can relax and converse without shouting or strain ing to hear.

    (4)
  • Holland S.

Bar staff is great! But what happens to the locals who live here spend big bucks? Oh.... we are not welcome in because a techno band is playing. What a joke. "It's 25 USD to get in" ok here...Naw we are are sold out. We are the people that keep the bars alive. Meathead bouncer needs to learn how to be polite. I don't see a successful business growing. What a joke. Good luck goof ball loser door guys.

  • Derek B.

Best night is Tuesday's....Reggae night..best band with really good touring band level musicians...the sound is one of the best in the OC. Plus plenty if room. I have been to Belly Up in Solana Beach and Mozambique in Laguna beach.... This venue rates on sound and space...

Love this place. The happy hour is a great deal and their beer selection is one to recognize. The owner Jeff is so into what he does, just wanted to let you know, it's very appreciated by your patrons!!! Sunday funday is meant to be spent here especially if you love to sing. Great job Jeff.

Decent sized hipster bar/venue in Costa Mesa. I like the ambience, and the lighting is perfectly dimmed. Not too light, not too dark. $5 for a pint of Bud? Not bad. I know a lot of good bands come through. I'll definitely be back for a show.

I can't stop thinking about the Korean fried rice. It reminds me of the eclectic bar food you get in Hawaii. Loving it! I was a Detroit Bar regular after college and glad to see some new energy being put back into it. I'm sure this will be the new spot.

  • John L.

This is my new place! Not your typical bar. Our bartender Kevin gave us the rundown on the drink menu and brought us back some amazing cocktails! He was super nice and very attentive! The place has a wide selection of whiskeys and bourbons. The Mac and cheese is out of control! Gotta check this place out if your in the area!

Came here for a show at 9, and after waiting for 3 hours with not even any acknowledgement of the show, left disappointed, as the artist STILL hadn't come up. I want my 20 bucks for my 2 tickets back, the venue itself was cool enough in terms of environment but the this experience just left a terrible taste in my mouth. Really ruined what was supposed to be an awesome night

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Sad to see Detroit Bar go, but this new fantastic little gem is at the top of my list of places to go for a drink and to see some incredible live music. My FAVE. Update Oct. 2014: Still love the place, music, etc. However, I guess every place has it's downside and the one here happens to be a bartender that is either extremely pretentious and/or has an incredibly hard time seeing. Maybe he should get glasses or they should turn the lights up because this guy just stares right through you with a smug little grin like you aren't even there, which is odd when YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE THERE. Thankfully, there happened to be a hero behind the bar that night and he came to my rescue. Not only was he void of any smug grins, he actually seemed to enjoy doing his job/serving drinks and taking all his well deserved tips ($$$$). Mental note: Stay on his side of the bar. Cheers!

Have only gone once, but will definitely be coming back. My friends rave about this place and the time I did come was for a reggae show! Band was good, drinks were good, and the setting was perfect. I accidentally was charged an extra entrance and when I was refunded by Jeff he went the extra effort in making sure I was refunded and would take care of my entrance the next time I go! Awesome bar with awesome management!!!

Honestly this place is a lot of fun, great setup, autmosphere, free pool and live music. I typically go once a weekend. However I feel that the cover is a little steep sometimes considering the house is not always full. Beyond that I always have a great time at the wayfarer and will be back soon!

Took my fiancé here to see a show for her birthday. We had a great time and really enjoyed the environment. Good food and drinks, and you can get right by the stage to enjoy the show. Will definitely keep an eye on this place for any shows we may like.

I love this place! My favorite night is reggae night on Tuesdays! They have talented musicians and singers that come every week to jam!! As far as food, my roommate and I tried the Westsider Burger which was delicious! I would definitely get it again!

  • Shelly S.

The owner of this place did an amazing job! You can see the extreme amount of thought that went into every change made! It definitely has a new energy and a new appeal, but didn't lose the aspects of the Detroit Bar that many of us loved. Customer service was on point. The Beatles cover band they chose was amazing! This is a new go-to for a lot of our friends! Another great one Jeff Chon!

My girlfriend and I had a girls night out a couple weeks after this place opened, not expecting too much, after all this place has been redone which feels like a million times. We are huge beer fans and they had a decent selection which the bartender Chris was very knowledgable on. After a few rounds of drinks & pool, to our surprise it was karaoke night and we were slightly buzzed (hint you can get a whiskey shot with your beer for only $10) and definitely feeling like we could sing a note or two. Needless to say this place has a great wait staff, tasty beer, and enough entertainment to keep you and your friends happy!

Wayfarers used to be called 'Detroit' it's off of 19th St. in Costa Mesa 19th and Placentia. DJ Dan is spinning tonight so it's 20 bucks a head 21 and over 2 pool tables FREE pool. When he's not there it's usually 5 bucks a head or free. Open every night and it's got a mariachi band playing next door at The Canada great atmosphere to it it's hot dance music and mariachi music playing right over the blend is so well no tension at ALL. With DJs good in the age groups is it good for dancing oh my god you have to dance sound system is great. Atmosphere really FUN the security is BIG but together guys as in Allen, Jr, & Tom. Not assholes that throw their weight around like most bouncers; These guys are together professional and congenial. I give it five stars totally!!!i'm definitely coming back. Reminds me of a mini SHARK Club without the fish... It's only been open a week a and they are just packing them in...

This place would be much more popular if it weren't located in the corner of a shopping center that clearly needs a facelift. I came here to watch the 49ers game and it was fairly empty. Our server was attentive and friendly. The food was underwhelming and the menu was limited overall. There is pool and live music. I would recommend it if you are drinking and hanging out, but maybe eat at home first.

Definitely try the bacon mac and cheese. These guys have a great selection of beers and warm helpful staff. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is because it lacked people. When you go to a bar of this size, with a stage, one hopes there will be people to socialize, or maybe even cut a rug with.

Terrible service. Bartenders will blatantly ignore you and it wasn't even a busy night. After ten minutes of waiting, I finally got someone to get me a drink. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and I asked the female bartender to keep my tab open and of course she still closed it. Thank goodness she did though. I did not want to spend any more money on a place that does not appreciate it's patrons. I will NEVER be returning to The Wayfarer again.

Came here on Sept 17th to see one of my favorite bands "The Show Ponies" and had a great time! Anna our waitress was extremely helpful with picking out appetizers and it was nice that we could leave the table to shoot pool (for free) the show was great. The people were great. Can't wait to come back. Chorizo Tots and Avocado Fries!

LOVE this place! Everything about it was cool, it was pretty cool to see this place in its new glory, the decor is awesome, look at all the details! (down to the rad vintage light bulbs) They opened up the ceiling exposing the OG wood beams which makes the place feel open (not like your average stuffy venue/bar) pretty big selection on drinks, and I was so excited that they had my favorite brand of cyder! =) Pricing was fair bartenders and staff were all pretty cool for how busy they were! Glad to have a cool place on W side cosat mesa! Us costa mesians needed that! =)

This place screams sexiness ! Sexy food (fried rice=SO GOOD, the burger=the best I've had in awhile), sexy beers, (local craft beer, golden road etc) and seriously tasty craft cocktails. Plus varying live music brings in the right crowd, good people, good vibe. Shout out to the sexiest bartender Chris ( ask for him he's a stud) The owner Jeff is a travel sized all around good dude. I've brought in family, friends, coworkers, everyone has had an awesome time.

Good energy and set up. But serving drinks in Dixie/Solo cups????? I'd be alright with that if you charge Dixie/Solo prices. Definitely room for improvement.

Excellent place, venue is awesome, the draft list is great, along with the cocktails list and all the other beverage items, food menu is very simple, with a modern theme, evenings with local bands. Definitely a place to hang out at
